This guide will aid you in creating a translucent radar image for use in Deathball.

This assumes you have the texture you want to use as your radar ready for import.

 

1.) Goto the texture browser and choose File->Import.

2.) Select your required Radar texture and click on "Ok".

3.) Make sure the Package is called "MyLevel" and you give the radar a name then click on "Ok".

4.) Your radar texure will be imported and shown in the texture browser.

5.) Goto File->New...

6.) Set the package to "MyLevel" and give your new texture a unique name.

7.) You'll now have 2 textures in the texture browser. Your radar texture and a new blank one (called radar1 in this case).

8.) Right-click on radar1 and choose "properties", a new window will appear. Make sure that your original radar texture is hilighted in the texture browser.

9.) In the setting called "Diffuse" click "Use".

10.) Set "Output Blending" to "OB_Transparent".

 

Done! Just make sure you use the new texture (radar1) in your DB_Radar.
